Years after creating State of the Ape, I revisited the original using AI as a creative enhancement tool. Rather than changing the concept or replacing the artwork, I wanted to see what technology could do with the strange world I had already created.
The result is the Digitally Enhanced Edition—the same bizarre composition and WTF spirit of the original, reimagined with richer color, greater detail, depth, and a more vivid overall presentation.
It represents another stage in the evolution of State of the Ape: an original hand-created idea pushed further through modern technology while keeping the weirdness that made it what it was in the first place.
